Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has praised the generosity of Beaminster’s Mayfair Town and Country branch for contributing towards the operating costs of the town’s CB3 bus service. The local estate agents are set to donate a financial contribution from each property sold towards the CB3, providing Beaminster Town Council with a source additional income to continue operating the service. On Saturday 4th November, Mr Loder met with local passengers; Craig Monks, Chairman of Beaminster Town Council; and Simon Neville-Jones, Manager of Mayfair Town and Country in Beaminster. Mr Loder said:
“This is an exceptionally generous gesture by Mayfair in Beaminster and demonstrates the community goodwill behind the excellent CB3 bus. I’ve seen for myself just how popular this bus service is, which provides a reliable and cost-effective transport solution for local residents travelling to Bridport. Buses are vital for communities in West Dorset, and I’ll continue to make the case for a well-funded, dependable network that serves all corners of the constituency.”
