Chris Loder MP has urged the Roads Minister to prioritise safety and standards following numerous fatalities in the West Dorset constituency.
Speaking in the House of Commons on the 20th April, Mr Loder highlighted to the Roads Minister, Richard Holden MP, that there have been recent fatalities on the A3066 at Mosterton; on the A30 between Sherborne and Yeovil; and on the A35. Mr Loder said:
“Road safety in West Dorset is firmly on my agenda. Only last year did I lose one of my best friends from primary school in a fatal accident on the road from Sherborne to Dorchester, so I know first-hand how important road safety is”.
The MP for West Dorset has established the Road Safety Taskforce to address this issue, and has met with the Roads Minister Mr Loder to discuss this matter further.
