West Dorset MP Chris Loder has urged local community groups, particularly those associated with rail travel, engagement, education or environmental benefits, to apply for new funding announced under Great Western Railway’s Community Fund.
The scheme run by Great Western Railway seeks to support a number of community projects identified by the communities they serve, including many in West Dorset. Information and the application portal is now live on Great Western Railway’s website.
Mr Loder said: “Across West Dorset we have an outstanding range of community projects that could make great use out of this fund. I warmly encourage as many bids as possible to this fund and wish every success to those who submit their bids before the deadline of Monday 27th June.
