Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has held emergency talks with Dorset Community Transport in order to try and find a solution to the recently announced closure of the West Dorset Ring & Ride.
Tim Christian, General Manager of DCT, said: “Despite us being well-established in the area, we have still not been approached by Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring & Ride to see if we might help provide a continuation of service, or from Dorset Council who are aware of the imminent loss of service to Dorset residents. I was very pleased to meet with Chris Loder MP following the announced withdrawal – we are actively working on a solution to try and help, and we hope to have news shortly.”
Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, commented: “Over the last three weeks, I have approached the organisers of the West Dorset Ring & Ride service on multiple occasions, but I’ve had no response and neither have I received any correspondence from them informing me of their difficulties. I’ve held emergency talks with Dorset Community Transport to try and find a solution, as all other avenues have been exhausted and I’m hopeful we can find solution.”
