Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has helped to secure a new bus stop on a recently-completed housing development in Drimpton. Since Monday 27th November, Northcombe Lea, which Mr Loder visited in September, now has a new bus stop for local schoolchildren. Previously, students had to walk along a non-pavemented path to the nearest bus stop under one mile away.
Mr Loder said: “Following my intervention with Dorset Council, I’m glad that a new bus stop has been implemented for schoolchildren at the Northcombe Lea development. This is a success for those parents of schoolchildren who beforehand were expected to walk a fair distance to get to their bus stop.”
