West Dorset MP Chris Loder has held two summits about tackling antisocial behaviour and drug crime head-on in Lyme Regis at the Lyme Regis’ Guildhall with the Police Commissioner, Dorset Police, Lyme Regis Town Council, Magna Housing Association and local residents on Friday 4th November.

Mr Loder has had to put pressure on to tackle the drugs and antisocial problems that have been affecting Lyme Regis and welcomed news that an arrest has been made following the seizure of drugs, weapons and suspected stolen property.

Mr Loder said; “The meetings on Friday were a good step forward in addressing these issues in Lyme Regis and I am pleased that productive conversations have taken place following an earlier arrest. All organisations see an aligned way forward and I'm pleased that progress has been made”.

“Antisocial behaviour is not acceptable and residents should note be living with such concerns about their neighbourhood which is why I have kept the pressure on to maintain focus.”

Mr Loder has also utilised his role on the Parliamentary Transport Select Committee to urge the British Transport Police and railway bosses to use their powers to help disrupt the county lines drug network and reduce rural crime.
